I am a 65 year old Doctor, semi-retired consultant gynaecological surgeon, still doing some regular clinical work in the NHS in 2 Trusts in the South West of England.

With regards to my music, I have been playing guitar/piano for many years and began songwriting several years ago, as well as recording 10 albums for the pure fun and pleasure of doing it, but never tried seriously to promote them. However, recent downtime in the Coronavirus interval has allowed me to focus again on my music. Since my piano teacher insisted that I put some recordings of the pieces I’ve been learning with her on her website! I have gone on to create a YouTube channel and added live performances as well as recordings of some of my original songs as well as some covers and piano pieces. I have also made some videos to accompany some of my songs and am in the process of assembling a new album which will be my 11th. I am not in a band (at present) although I did play keyboards in a Steely Dan tribute band for about 18 months. In 2009-10 I wrote a musical about the tragic life story of a forgotten Wiltshire Poet (Alfred Williams) which followed the issue of my concept CD “The Hammerman”. The musical gained funding from the Heritage lottery fund and was launched in Swindon in 2010. Subsequently I produced a second version which was performed in 2012. On both occasions I played in the show band as well as being the Producer.Little Black Car was recorded back in 2014. The sax player is Roger Burns who played with me in the Steely Dan tribute band.
