DocSolid Announces Scanback to iManage at ConnectLive

Postmark Scanback for Simple, Managed Scanning Directly Into iManage or Email

Phoenix, AZ – May 6, 2019 –DocSolid, the leader in document scanning, printing and shredding solutions for legal document management systems, today unveiled Postmark Scanback, a simple, universal way to scan paper documents to iManage. DocSolid will show the solution at this year’s iManage ConnectLive user conference in New York. As with all of DocSolid’s iManage-integrated solutions, Scanback is Work10 optimized.

Postmark Scanback joins DocSolid’s suite of solutions for the Paper2Digital transformation of a legal practice. Scanback’s breakthrough simplicity of workflow uses any MFP, scanner or copier without integration to the device, making scanning easy to use, deploy and manage in a legal enterprise.

Broad adoption of scanning is critical to building a fully digital matter file in an iManage enterprise. Advantages of Scanback over conventional MFD-embedded scan to email systems are significant:

  • Easy for users: one-button scanning, scan stacks, no logins or typing at the device, clerical staff can do the scanning and QC

  • Works with all makes of MFDs and digital copiers, with no added hardware, software, support or services

  • Scan to email delivers a link to the file, eliminating attachments clogging up email systems

  • Automatic quality controls and enterprise management tools

  • Centralized or distributed scanning, QC and shredding operations are enabled

  • Scan directly to iManage, email or folder

Scanback works as a standalone enterprise utility for capturing inbound paper or in conjunction with DocSolid’s Postmark Scan solution for structured scanning, QC and shredding.

“With Scanback, DocSolid rounds out our scan capture suite for the legal market, providing a fast, economical, best practice to drive paper documents into iManage and other DMS systems,” said Steve Irons, DocSolid CEO. “Conventional scan to email systems have created Scanarchy in law firms, and now we can replace that with a Paper2Digital best practice.”

“Our clients need productive capture of inbound paper documents to iManage, so that iManage can serve as the official matter file, without a rogue paper file alternative,” said Matt Hobbs, Managing Director in Duff & Phelps’ Legal Management Consulting practice. “Making scan capture an efficient process is the key, and Scanback achieves that with its simple, easy process.”

iManage Work10 Optimized means all the Postmark Paper2Digital software solutions are engineered to work with the latest releases of Work10 and Work10 Cloud. Meanwhile, DocSolid continues to support the legacy versions of iManage. This is important for law firms looking to get a Postmark solution deployed now with the version of iManage they are using today, knowing it will transition in tandem with their iManage upgrade plans for the future.
