Mobile Complete, the leading provider of mobile application testing, monitoring and support solutions aimed at improving the mobile experience, today launched the Boost Mobile Virtual Developer Lab (VDL). The Boost VDL is a new remote testing service powered by Mobile Complete’s DeviceAnywhere™ solution, a revolutionary service that provides mobile developers access to and interaction with real mobile devices connected to live global networks – all remotely over the Internet.
The VDL provides Boost’s community of developers with the ability to remotely access mobile development handsets connected to the VDL live network. The online service is available globally and even provides developers with access to pre-commercial handsets, enabling them to get hot new content to Boost’s 4.5 million users faster and more efficiently than ever before.
“Boost Mobile is committed to staying ahead of the curve with some of the most innovative and up-to-date products and services available on the handset,” said Neil Lindsay, vice president of product management, Boost Mobile. “By partnering with Mobile Complete to create the Boost Mobile VDL, we’re making it easier for our community of developers to collaborate, test, manage and deploy our special limited edition ringtones, games and applications and bring them to market faster than ever.”
Mobile Complete has created a full-service VDL for Boost Mobile; providing hosted services, technical support and maintenance. The Boost Mobile VDL will initially include live online access to more than 20 mobile devices, including several pre-commercial phones. By launching a VDL, Boost is helping to significantly reduce testing costs and time to market. Enhancing developers’ abilities to deliver content that creates a more compelling end-user experience is especially important for Boost Mobile, as it serves a highly competitive youth demographic.
“The youth community truly defines the need for speed when it comes to bringing the most innovative cutting-edge products to mobile handsets today,” said Faraz Syed, CEO of Mobile Complete. “This partnership exemplifies a core value proposition behind DeviceAnywhere and our VDL solutions - to solve the issue of mobile web and application development which is made complex by the myriad handsets, operator networks, software platforms and wireless formats. Boost Mobile joins an elite group of leaders in the mobile ecosystem that are leveraging DeviceAnywhere to provide their developer communities with the most advanced tools possible for mobile application development, testing and collaboration. Partnerships like this are an example of how we intend to continue building upon DeviceAnywhere’s rich portfolio of next generation mobile handsets.”
