Breakthrough Success with Mary Etta Dockery, available on Amazon, is an anthology that features Mary Etta Dockery along with several other authors.
Mary Etta Dockery is a seasoned registered nurse with over 50 years of experience working in almost all medical specialties. She combines her nursing expertise with her cross cultural sensitivity to provide her patients with the best possible care: the physical as well as emotional and mental needs.
Reminiscing about how she developed her trademark holistic nursing care, she says: “My inner being was attracted to helping fill those needs that go beyond the physical, and I realized early on that medicine would sometimes only provide band-aid treatments on what were really psychological gaping wounds.”
Dockery believes that with a positive mentality, a nurse can work in any facility and not let work-related problems compromise the patients’ care. By sharing positive energy, a nurse can transmit genuine care and concern that helps the patients recover much faster.
“If you can give a little more and more each day, it lets them know you care. Quality in caring is a distinguishing feature of a good nurse,” said Dockery.
Despite the nurses’ best efforts, however, there are times when their care is not enough to help a patient recover from their physical or mental illnesses. Dockery reminds the reader not to let those moments stop them from giving their best.
“I’m currently in my 21st year of recruiting for Fastaff. In my many years of recruiting, I have worked with a lot of RN’s—good and bad. I first started working with Mary in 2011. Mary has been an absolute pleasure to work with in that time frame. Mary is reliable, and I always receive positive feedback from the clients she works with. I know that if I place Mary in a job, she will do an excellent job and represent Fastaff in a positive light. I look forward to continuing my working relationship with Mary in the years to come. I consider Mary to be one of my top RN’s, and I also consider her to be a friend.”—Testimonial by Keith Aragon, Travel Nurse Recruiter for Fastaff.
“As a kid, I was so happy when I got to spend time with my cousin Mary Etta. At that age, I didn’t know why a visit with her was so special, but I always felt happiness and joy when I was with her. Was it her smile? Was it the warmth in her hugs? Was it her kind words? Was it the strength she exuded? Yes, yes, yes, and yes! It was all that and more. Now, as an adult, I realize that it was (and still is) her beautiful, calm, and nurturing spirit that I felt and still have the honor to feel. It is natural. I truly do not know if she realizes the spiritual aura that surrounds her. There are people born into this world to help heal it. Mary Etta is, without a doubt, one of those special people. I am so very proud of my cousin and so very fortunate to be able to express my honest thoughts about her in writing. It is not often that we get to let our loved ones know how we truly feel about them. I am thankful for this opportunity.”— Testimonial by Lizzette Robles, Health Research Enthusiast, Retired LGA Duty Manager.
