New Jersey American Water Announces Winners of 2017 Emergency Responders Grants

New Jersey American Water is awarding approximately $20,000 in grants to 21 volunteer emergency first responder units as a show of appreciation for their tireless service to their communities. A select committee of New Jersey American Water employees, who themselves are active volunteer firefighters or emergency medical responders, reviewed the dozens of applications for the 2017 Emergency Responders Grant Program.
The organizations listed below will receive grants for the following equipment needs:
“The brave men and women who serve as volunteer firefighters and emergency responders have a remarkable sense of duty to protect and assist their neighbors,” said Denise Venuti Free, New Jersey American Water’s director of communications and external affairs. “Through our annual grant program, we want to say thank you for their heroism and help them obtain the equipment that they need to safeguard the people who live and work in the communities we serve.”
