New Jersey American Water’s Kevin Watsey Appointed Trustee of AWWA-NJ

Kevin Watsey, New Jersey American Water’s government affairs manager, has been appointed to the American Water Works Association- New Jersey (AWWA-NJ) Board of Trustees. Along with the other members of the board, Watsey will work with the Association’s committees to provide leadership and guidance on addressing the state’s water challenges.
“I look forward to working more with my colleagues of AWWA-NJ to help prepare New Jersey to meet water supply demands as well as infrastructure and quality challenges,” said Watsey. “I am proud to represent a group of individuals who we can count on to provide us the best quality water.”
Watsey joined New Jersey American Water in 2006 as a communications specialist. Since transitioning to government affairs, he now works closely with 189 mayors of the towns that New Jersey American Water serves to address their issues.
Prior to joining New Jersey American Water, Watsey spent five years as an advocate for Rutgers University in Washington DC. He was also a staff assistant in the Washington office of former New Jersey Senator Robert Torricelli. Watsey is a Board member of the Nonprofit Development Center of Southern New Jersey, an active member of New Jersey Utilities Association, and co-chair of the New Jersey Business and industry Association’s Camden County Employer Legislative Committee.
Watsey holds a Bachelors Degree in American Studies from Rowan University.
