ADP Expands PGA Presence and Signs Marketing Deal With Nick Price
Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (NYSE: ADP) announced today that World Golf Hall of Fame inductee, Nick Price, has signed a one-year marketing deal with the company. As part of the agreement, Price will be involved in ADP's marketing campaigns, appearing as a spokesperson and speaking at corporate events.
Price has committed to playing in the Champion's Tour for the first time in 2007 and will wear the ADP logo while competing. The Champion's Tour hosts 30 events annually in the United States and Canada for golfers 50 years of age and older.
"We are excited to enter a partnership with a first-class athlete such as Nick," said Michael Martone, Chief Operating Officer-elect, ADP. "Nick is not only an admired golfer, but he also encompasses the high-quality traits that are important to ADP and our business. From his undisputed professionalism to the example he sets through his trusted character, we are proud to partner with Nick and look forward to his continued successes."
Nick Price has been a well-respected golfer since he went pro at the young age of 20. While he has experienced continued success throughout his career, the mid-nineties brought Price to another level when he was widely recognized as one of the best golfers in the world. In 1997, he won his second Vardon Trophy on the PGA Tour, and represented the International team at the Presidents Cup as a five-time member. In 2003, Price took his well deserved place as an inductee in the World Golf Hall of Fame. Price has tallied 18 victories on PGA Tours, 24 International wins, and won three major championships. He has finished in the top 50 on the money list for 17 consecutive seasons.
Said Price, "ADP has a longstanding reputation as a trusted and reliable leader in its industry. I am excited to enter into a relationship with an organization that places a high level of importance on teamwork and remains at the forefront of innovation. I am honored and enthused about the unique opportunities presented by this partnership and look forward to representing ADP both on and off the course."
