On May 16, 2016, Alaska Air Group, Inc. (Alaska Air Group) and Virgin America Inc. (Virgin America) each received a request for additional information (also known as a second request) from the U.S. Department of Justice pursuant to the Hart-Scott-Rodino Antitrust Improvements Act of 1976, as amended, in connection with Alaska Air Groups proposed acquisition of Virgin America. A copy of the joint press release issued by Alaska Air Group and Virgin America relating to the second request is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated by reference herein.
Additional Information About the Merger and Where to Find It
